May LAIGW Meeting Recap – Tour of Union Market District
On May 17, about 25 LAIGW members attended a walking tour and happy hour at the Union Market District in DC. The tour began with a presentation on the history and development of the Market by Bill Caldwell and Reynolds Allen from EDENS, the project developer. The group then walked through the Union Market District and learned more about the residential, retail, and office development. After the tour, attendees enjoyed an assortment of hors d’oeuvres and drinks at Serenata, one of the venues within La Cosecha. La Cosecha has a similar layout as Union Market with many food vendors in the large space, all of whom are Spanish themed.
