Program Description: This meeting was an update on the multiple benefits of cutting-edge toll road technology integrated with high occupancy vehicle lanes with congestion pricing traffic management. The presentation focused on the nearly 50 miles of managed lanes on Interstates 495, 395, and 95 in Northern Virginia and highlighted the economic and environmental benefits of the toll lane construction and operation.
The presenter for the meeting was Rob Kerns, Project Development and Delivery Manager for Transurban (USA) Inc, an Australian-based Corporation that specializes in the development of advanced technology toll networks. As part of the Transurban USA team, Rob has participated in the development of high occupancy toll lanes in Northern Virginia since 2007.
