On September 18, members and guests of the Lambda Alpha International George Washington Chapter (LAIGW) gathered for a walking tour and presentation of National Landing, one of the D.C. region’s fastest-growing urban neighborhoods.

Guided by Matthew Jones, Robert Mandle, and Malaika Scriven from the National Landing Business Improvement District (BID), attendees explored the area’s transformative mixed-use, retail and residential projects. Participants were divided into two groups to tour Crystal City and Pentagon City, where they experienced firsthand how transportation, development, and urban design are reshaping the district.

Highlights included insights on next-generation mobility, adaptive reuse projects, expanding housing opportunities, and the integration of parks, culture and community spaces. Learn more about National Landing’s growth and data trends by visiting the National Landing Data Dashboard.
